Catch A Ballgame With The Capitol Beyond Center Field
See the Racing Presidents, grab a half-smoke, and spot the Capitol dome from the upper deck at Nationals Park.
⚾ The view past center field
Nationals Park opened in 2008 along the Anacostia riverfront in Navy Yard, one of the few major league ballparks where the U.S. Capitol dome rises beyond the outfield stands. The Washington Nationals play their home schedule here from spring into early fall.
Between innings the park runs its own rituals, and the fourth-inning Racing Presidents, oversized Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Roosevelt mascots sprinting the warning track, pull as much noise from the crowd as the game itself. The concourses lean local, with Ben's Chili Bowl half-smokes among the standbys.
The 2019 World Series banner still hangs above the seats, a marker of the franchise's championship run. Upper-deck spots along the third-base line line up the field, the river, and the Capitol in one frame.
