🍕 How the Lucali Line Works
Lucali takes no reservations. Names go on a same-day list in person at 4 PM; the line forms earlier, so aim for 3:30, though the list can fill fast and even that is no guarantee. At the front you get a return time. Stick to it and keep a backup dinner in mind.
Inside, candles light the tables and every pie is made to order in the brick oven. A large basil pie is $32, cash only, and you bring your own bottle. Open 5 PM to 11 PM, closed Tuesdays, about eight minutes on foot from the F or G at Carroll Street.
To wait, walk up to Union Street and over to Hoyt, about ten minutes, for a glass at Black Mountain Wine House, open by 3 PM daily. Head back before your return time. If no table comes through, Bar Bruno on Henry Street serves Mexican plates until at least 10 PM.
