Brooklyn Park Athletics With Track and Dog Walks

Run laps, swim, or do pull ups, then stretch out on open lawns near the summer sprinklers.

Plan a McCarren Park workout.

🏃 Track to Pull Up Bars

McCarren Park works as a major athletic and social hub in Brooklyn, where a running track sets the pace and the rest of the grounds give you plenty of ways to keep moving. Tennis courts, a baseball field, and a small soccer field share the grounds, and a calisthenics area with outdoor pull up bars handles strength sets between laps.

The Olympic sized pool adds a swim to the plan. Families and nannies head for the playgrounds, where sprinklers run in summer, while large open lawns leave room for a slow walk or a loop with the dog. Dog friendly areas give the leash crowd space of its own.

The grounds at 776 Lorimer St are open daily from 6 AM to 1 AM, a long window that fits an early run before work or a late stroll after dinner nearby. Pick a corner of the park, the track, the courts, or the lawns, and set the pace from there.
