The Boston Book Festival returns to Copley Square on Saturday, October 17, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and the main festival day is free. More than 200 authors take part across 80-plus sessions, and the lineup includes Emily Wilson, Edwidge Danticat and Walter Mosley among fiction, memoir, poetry and picture book talks.
Outside, the Copley Square Street Fair gathers 60-plus exhibitors, food trucks and live music on the plaza, with a kids' costume parade and walking tours folded into the day.
Trinity Church and the Boston Public Library frame the lawn, a short walk from Copley and Back Bay stations.
