An East Village Taproom With Over 40 Craft Beers
Sip solo on a weekend afternoon, then browse bottles and cans to take home.
🍺 Beyond the Tap List
Take yourself out for an afternoon at Ale Tales Taproom and Kitchen, the East Village stop at 1520 J St near Petco Park. Start with a conversation at the counter. Staff steer draft pours and packaged picks around your tastes, with hazy IPAs, barrel aged stouts and sours in the rotation.
The coolers hold hundreds of bottles and cans alongside ciders and nonalcoholic drinks. Pick a burger or wings from the kitchen, which also offers vegan and gluten free choices. Outside, the patio is spacious and dog friendly, an option for bringing a four legged companion along.
Opening hours run Monday through Thursday from 3 PM to 10 PM, Friday and Saturday from noon to 11 PM, and Sunday from noon to 10 PM. The Gaslamp Quarter and convention center are each a short walk away, ready for whatever fills the rest of your afternoon.
