Description
Before opening in 2009, this plaza at the intersection of Canal, Varick, and Laight Streets was once a parking lot. It was developed as one of more than 30 open spaces funded by the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation's revitalization project. Named after neighborhood activist Albert Capsouto, the park features an award-winning design.
