🏀 Play With A Backstory

Agnes Haywood Playground puts basketball, handball, and time outdoors on the agenda in Williamsbridge. At 758 East 216 Street, this neighborhood park brings sports courts and play areas together in one Bronx stop. Pack a ball for a game, or make room for a stretch of play between neighborhood errands. Public restrooms and spray showers round out the amenities.

The name belongs to Agnes Haywood, a local resident and civic activist who moved to Williamsbridge in 1953. She earned a degree from the New York Academy of Business and held a civil service position with the Board of Child Welfare, and her connection to the neighborhood is the reason the park carries her name.

This Williamsbridge playground opens from 7 AM to 6 PM daily, and entry is free.
