A West Village Steakhouse With Tableside Burger Theater

Prime rib and a gloved tableside burger make this West Village steakhouse a reservation worth planning around.

Save this for prime rib night.

🌙 The Tableside Burger Moment

A West Village steakhouse rarely feels this small. 4 Charles Prime Rib asks you to settle in before the first bite, inside a brownstone at 4 Charles Street dressed with crystal chandeliers, plush leather seating, and paintings on dark wood walls. The menu runs on classic richness, ribeye, thick cut bacon, prime rib, and a wine list with real depth.

The burger still takes the headline. Servers slice it tableside in white cotton gloves, releasing a runny egg yolk across the plate. The table is tough to book, which makes this one to plan a night around rather than wander into.

Monday through Thursday doors open at 4 PM and service runs to half past eleven PM. Friday starts at noon, Saturday at 11 AM, and Sunday at 11 AM with a 10 PM close. Bring someone who appreciates a small room and a little theater.
