🥁 What Happens in Class

Jazz Baby is Mariella Price's family music class, and on Sundays it runs inside TALEA's taproom on Richardson Street. Her songbook blends jazz standards, popular music and classic children's songs, so kids explore rhythm, sound and dynamics instead of only learning the words. Over 45 minutes she leads them through singing, dancing and playing instruments. TALEA's class listing says it is best for kids up to age four.

☕ Before and After Class

TALEA opens at 11 AM on Sundays, so there is time for a coffee before the 11:30 start, and the brewery suggests staying for its sourdough pizzas afterward. Food and drinks are paid for separately. For fresh air, McCarren Park is about a six-minute walk away. Domino Park and Marsha P. Johnson State Park sit on the East River and work as an optional longer walk, roughly 20 to 30 minutes on foot.

🧭 Before You Go

TALEA sells one $30 admission per family, booked for a specific Sunday through its online shop, and the listing does not say how many adults or children one ticket covers. Strollers go in the courtyard; on rainy days, fold them and leave them in the retail lobby. TALEA Williamsburg is at 87 Richardson Street, under ten minutes on foot from the Lorimer Street L and Metropolitan Avenue G station. The class repeats most Sundays at 11:30 AM.
