A Riverside Sports Park With Williamsburg Bridge Views
Walk, cycle, or play beside the East River, with fields, benches, and room to stay out late.
🏀 Fields, Paths, Water
John V. Lindsay East River Park gives Manhattan a long waterfront stretch for movement and a little breathing room. Across 46 acres, you get playgrounds, bike paths, an amphitheater, and dedicated fields for baseball, softball, and football. The grounds also include tennis courts and basketball courts for a quick change of pace. Benches and curved seating face the river, with the Williamsburg Bridge across the water.
The park is open daily from 6 AM to 1 AM, and the Delancey Street overpass is the access point across the FDR Drive. The northern section is closed for renovations as of May 2026, while the updated southern section remains open with views toward Brooklyn.
Bring a racket or a ball, then follow the waterfront paths through the southern section. The mix of sports space, river air, and open sky makes room for a daytime game, a quick walk, or a longer evening loop.
