A Queens Park With Sports Courts Near the Whitestone Bridge
Catch afternoon basketball and dancing, then unwind at a neighborhood recreation ground with space for children.
🏀 Games Beside the Bridge
Harvey Park has a different tempo from the traffic heading toward the Whitestone Bridge. Set by the last car ramp before the crossing, this quiet Queens recreation ground leaves room for a slower wander. Walking paths offer a way to stretch a short outdoor break, with nature close at hand.
Afternoons bring basketball games and Asian dances to the park. Baseball fields and a hockey rink give the sports crowd more to work with, while the playground includes a splash pad, swings and slides for children. Pick the activity that suits your group, from watching a game to spending time at the playground.
Find the grounds along 144 Street and the Whitestone Expressway, between 15 Avenue and 20 Avenue. Harvey Park opens Monday through Sunday from midnight to 9 PM. Bring water, take a pause, and give yourself a little breathing room away from the bridge approach.
