A Morningside Heights French Table for Classic Fare
French cooking brings escargot, house-made crêpes, and truffle flatbreads to an uptown address.
🍽️ Classic Bistro Plates
Le Monde brings classic French cooking to Morningside Heights, with a menu led by Executive Chef Segundo and traditional bistro cooking at its center. The menu names tartare, French onion soup, and potato tarts, while the house also serves escargot, house-made crêpes, and truffle flatbreads. That range moves from familiar comfort to a more specific French craving without leaving the neighborhood.
Established in 1998, the restaurant channels a Parisian expat spirit. Bread and butter start the meal, and mains come with salad, fries, and a choice of pepper or cheese sauce. Those generous portions make a full plate feel complete, while the order can still stay simple.
At 2885 Broadway, doors open at 9 AM every day. Monday through Thursday closes at half past nine PM, and Friday closes at 10 PM. Saturday and Sunday pause at half past three PM, with dinner service returning at 4 PM and running until 10 PM on Saturday and 9 PM on Sunday.
