A Harlem River Park With Sunset Paths and Play Space

Walk the Harlem River path at sunset, then let the kids loose on the splash pad and play gear.

Walk the riverfront before dusk.

🎾 Tennis, a Dance Deck, and River Light

Start directly across from the Bronx Terminal Market, where a walking path threads through Mill Pond Park past historical signs and out toward the Harlem River. Paved promenades curve around a wide lawn, and late afternoon brings the sunset down over the water.

Families have room to spread out, with sensory play equipment, a splash pad, and a deck built for dancing and playing. Tennis courts add a faster kind of motion, while quiet seating and a gravel covered picnic area with grilling spots make space for a slower pause. Bike racks are available for anyone arriving on two wheels.

The park is open daily from 6 AM to 10 PM, a long window for a morning run or an after dinner stroll. There are no public restrooms on site, and the nearest options sit across the street or at the nearby Hip Hop Museum. Follow the path past the signs, let the kids burn off energy, then catch the river light before heading home.
