🎬 Tuesday Movie Night Upstairs
🎃 Monster House, Then Coraline
Broken Shaker is screening Halloween double features on its Freehand rooftop on the last three Tuesdays of October. On October 20 the pairing is Monster House from 2006 followed by Coraline from 2009, two animated films built around a home that is not what it seems. The final night, October 27, brings Jeepers Creepers and Jennifer’s Body. The series runs under the name Same Spirits Different Scaries, pairing the regular cocktail list with two seasonal films each night.

🍹 Up on the 18th Floor
Broken Shaker sits eighteen floors above Gramercy, with two indoor bars and two open-air terraces facing the Empire State and Chrysler buildings. The outdoor bars have a retractable roof, useful on a cool October night. Classic cocktails come with a Latin-inspired menu of ceviche, skewers and a jerk chicken sandwich. The bar stays open until midnight on Tuesdays, leaving room for a drink after the double feature.

🎟️ Entry, Age, and Timing
The double feature starts at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, October 20, at the Freehand, 23 Lexington Avenue. Monster House comes first, followed by Coraline. The entrance to Broken Shaker is on 24th Street. The bar is 21 and over after 6 PM, bring ID. Ticket and seating details are not posted with the series. Check the Broken Shaker happenings page or make a reservation with the bar before heading up. Doors stay open until midnight on Tuesdays, leaving time for a drink after the second film.
