🌇 Sunset From the Southwest Overlook
Little Island sits on Pier 55 between 13th and 14th Streets, and entry is free with no ticket. From November 1 it is open 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Wander the fall grasses, then settle at the Southwest Overlook as the sun drops across the Hudson. Sunset lands near 4:50 PM on November 1 and 4:30 PM by November 30. Aim for 4:00 PM early in the month and earlier later. River wind turns cold after dark. Bring a layer. Afterward, walk north to the Market 57 food hall at Pier 57, usually open 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, though kiosk hours vary. Take the A, C, E or L to 14th Street.
