Pause by the garden memorial.

🌿 A Garden Memorial

At Signers Garden, a small garden memorial sits in the middle of Old City, at the corner of 5th and Chestnut Streets. The fenced urban park commemorates the signers of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. Near Independence Hall, this quiet garden turns a walk through historic Philadelphia toward the people behind those documents.

Its memorial features a bronze sculpture of George Clymer created by the sculptor EvAngelos W. Frudakis. The colonial styled figure holds a quill pen and scroll, a specific detail to linger over during a pause in the garden. Give the memorial a few minutes before continuing through the neighborhood.

The grounds double as a departure point for both historic walking tours and ghost tours. For an independent stop between other plans in Philadelphia, the park is open daily from 7 AM to 8 PM.
