Brooklyn Waterfront Park With Historic Harbor Cranes by IKEA
Settle on a sun lounger with a book beside preserved ship ropes, with the Statue of Liberty across the water.
⚓ Dockside Downtime
Your next Brooklyn waterfront breather sits beside IKEA. Erie Basin Park follows the shoreline at 458 Columbia St, where the industrial waterfront supplies the backdrop for a slower stretch outside. It is also known as IKEA Park, a handy name for the walkway next to the store.
Preserved ship ropes and marine relics bring the docking history onto the path. Historic harbor cranes add another reminder of that past, while unusually shaped benches and sun loungers give you somewhere to settle with a book. Look across the water for the Statue of Liberty in the distance.
The park is open daily from 6 AM to 9 PM, leaving room for an early walk or a stop around sunset. Dogs are part of the scene here, and nearby coffee and power outlets make an outdoor reading or work break possible. Take the waterfront at walking pace, then trade the shoreline stroll for a seat when you are ready to linger.
