Sushi By Scratch Restaurants, Seattle builds the night around a 10 seat omakase counter. The pre dinner service begins 30 minutes before each seating with a welcome cocktail and canapes, then moves through 16 pieces of nigiri and one dessert bite.
The format is specific. All ages are welcome, and everyone at the counter participates in the full tasting menu. There are no a la carte selections or childrens substitutes, making the menu format important to settle before booking. The nightly schedule offers seatings at 5 PM, seven fifteen PM, and nine thirty PM from Monday through Sunday.
The tasting menu is 185 dollars per person, with a 20 percent service charge added to each bill. Beverages and extra bites are available a la carte. At 2331 6th Avenue in Seattle, the evening runs on a fixed progression from first bite to dessert.
