Tapas Bar Near Me in Ebisu: SPANISH LOUNGE PARADOR's Sofas and Sherry
SPANISH LOUNGE PARADOR is a 90-seat Spanish lounge on the second floor of Paiza Ebisu, 2-3-1 Ebisu-minami, with 40 antique sofa seats, ¥750 sherries, a ¥1,300 whole-prawn ajillo and a ¥1,200 weekday paella lunch limited to ten servings.
SPANISH LOUNGE PARADOR is on the second floor of Paiza Ebisu at 2-3-1 Ebisu-minami, four minutes from the west exit of JR Ebisu Station, and it has no regular closing day. Dinner runs until 11pm on weekdays, five sherries cost ¥750 a glass, and 40 of its 90 seats are deep antique sofas. If you want a tapas bar near me in Ebisu where you can sink into a couch instead of perching on a stool, this is the one.

A Lounge First, a Bar Second
Most Spanish bars in Tokyo are narrow counters built for standing. PARADOR goes the other way. The room is a broad second-floor space that the bar calls a hidden, stylish antique space, filled with soft sofas, low tables and mirrors. The sofa seating alone runs to 40 places, and the bar markets those corners for small groups who want to stay for a few hours rather than order two plates and leave.
That size shapes the whole business. The full room can be hired for 50 to 130 people, seating about 50 or standing 130, and it is set up for wedding after-parties, company events and farewell parties. Half the room can be booked for 50. On an ordinary weeknight that means a mix of small tables of friends and the occasional large party in the back, so the noise level depends on the night.
Tapas and Ajillos at Dinner
The dinner menu starts with the easy plates. The chef's choice of three tapas is ¥1,600, the Spanish omelette with homemade aioli is ¥950, a plate of three Spanish olives is ¥800 and three Spanish cheeses are ¥1,800. Jamón serrano on its own is ¥1,800, or there is a mixed plate of serrano, chorizo, salami, cheese and olives for ¥1,600, which is the better value for two people sharing.
The ajillos are the strongest section. Whole head-on prawns in garlic oil cost ¥1,300, and mussels, mushrooms Segovia style, and a slightly odd but good mix of Spanish ham, edamame and Parmesan are ¥1,100 each. Order the four-piece Spanish baguette at ¥450 to mop up the oil. From the fryer, patatas bravas are ¥900 and homemade squid ink croquettes with salad are ¥1,050.
Grills and Paella for the Table
The grill list is built for groups. A 200-gram Ibérico pork shoulder loin steak is ¥2,600, sous-vide roast beef with Mexican salsa is ¥1,900 and Cajun roast chicken is ¥1,400. For a big table there is a Mexican tomahawk of about one kilogram with fries for ¥12,000, or an Australian T-bone of about 400 grams for ¥7,800. The bar's own recommendation is a mixed meat plate of the day.
Paella comes in two sizes. The Valencian style with seafood, chicken and tomato and the squid ink paella are both ¥1,650 for a small and ¥3,200 for a medium. The duck paella is the splurge, at ¥2,500 small and ¥4,500 medium. Dessert is short and cheap: the house Basque cheesecake is ¥900, a gluten-free chocolate cake is ¥800 and a white peach sorbet is ¥750.
Sherry, Sangria and Spanish Wine
Sherry is where this bar beats most lounges. Five are poured by the glass at ¥750 each: Manzanilla La Gitana, Amontillado Napoleón, Oloroso Faraón, Cream Alameda and Pedro Ximénez Triana, which lets you go from bone dry to syrupy in one evening. The bar also uses sherry in mixed drinks, with a sherry highball at ¥800 and a sherry mojito at ¥750.
House sangria is ¥800 for red or white and ¥850 for the sparkling versions. Carlsberg on draught is ¥750 and a 330ml bottle of Estrella Galicia is ¥1,200, with a zero-alcohol Estrella at ¥650. Glasses of Spanish cava, white and red run from ¥650 to ¥750. Bottles start at ¥4,000 for a rosé and reach ¥8,300 for Celeste Crianza from Ribera del Duero.
Lunch, Brunch and Afternoon Tea
Weekday lunch is the cheapest way in. From noon to 3pm there is a soup, salad and drink buffet with every main, and the buffet ends at 3:15pm. The paella lunch is ¥1,200 and is limited to ten servings a day, cooked in a 15-centimetre ceramic pan. Grilled chicken breast is ¥1,000, and a hamburg steak or a coca, a Spanish flatbread with anchovy and peppers, is ¥1,100.
At weekends and on holidays the room switches to brunch from noon to 2pm, with a ¥2,500 paella course, and tea time until 6pm. The afternoon tea plans are ¥2,500 with one drink, ¥3,400 with free-flowing coffee and ¥3,600 with a sparkling toast added. Note that, as of April 2026, the bar says it no longer runs a café time between lunch and dinner on weekdays.
Booking, Timing and What to Skip
Bookings go through Gurunavi, where the online calendar showed open tables from 17 to 22 October 2026. Weekday dinner starts at 5pm and weekend dinner at 6pm, so a Saturday table means waiting out the tea service. Large private hires can take over the room, so for a quiet sofa on a Friday, book ahead and ask for the sofa seats rather than a table near the bar.
Skip the ¥700 mixed nuts and the dried snacks; a ¥950 omelette costs barely more and is a real dish. The ¥12,000 tomahawk is only worth it for four or more people. A ¥300 charge with a small starter is added when you order à la carte, so courses work out better for groups. The Barcelona food-only course is ¥3,850 per person, and two-hour free-flow courses start at ¥5,250.
Who You Will Find on the Sofas
The bar sells itself to the groups that Tokyo restaurants plan around: girls' nights, mixers, welcome and farewell parties, birthday dinners and wedding after-parties. Birthday and anniversary guests can book a dessert plate with a written message or a whole cake in advance. Staff speak English and French, which helps if your group is mixed, and ordering is done through a mobile order system at the table.
Around Ebisu-minami
The bar is on the quieter west side of Ebisu Station. From here Daikanyama is a short walk west, with its boutiques and the Tsutaya bookshop at Daikanyama T-Site, so an afternoon there can end with an early dinner on the sofas. If PARADOR is full, Ebisu Yokocho, the covered food alley on the east side of the station at 1-7-4 Ebisu, is a lively walk-in fallback packed with small food counters.
