Goodbeer Faucets Shibuya: A Craft Beer Gastropub With 24 Taps in Shoto
Goodbeer Faucets is a craft beer restaurant on the 2nd floor of the Crossroad Building, 1-29-1 Shoto, Shibuya, open since 2011 and renovated in July 2026. Around 24 taps lean Australian, and the house burger is ¥1,680.
Goodbeer Faucets is a craft beer restaurant on the second floor of the Crossroad Building, 1-29-1 Shoto, Shibuya-ku, about five minutes on foot from Shibuya Station. It has poured from around two dozen taps since December 2011, reopened after a renovation on 4 July 2026, and calls itself home to Japan's biggest range of Australian craft beer. The house GBF Burger is ¥1,680, and happy hour runs from 3pm to 6pm.

A Shibuya Beer Bar Reborn in July 2026
Tabelog records the opening as 18 December 2011, which puts Goodbeer Faucets among the older craft beer specialists in Shibuya. The bar announced a renewal reopening on 4 July 2026, and the official site describes about 25 rotating taps, while its FAQ says 24, plus around 50 canned beers to drink in or take away. The Australian focus is the reason to choose it, since names that are rare on Tokyo taps turn up here as a matter of routine, and the canned range lets you take a few home.
The room is bigger than most Tokyo beer bars. The official site lists 20 counter seats, four high tables seating 21 and eight low tables seating 19, plus standing space, and the FAQ says it can take parties of up to 64 seated or 100 standing. There is a lift and the bar is wheelchair accessible, which is rarer than it should be for a second-floor venue in Shibuya.
Ordering at the Counter
There is no mobile ordering. Staff help you choose a beer and food, you pay at the register by the entrance, and the FAQ says English-speaking service is normal because overseas guests are common. Bills are not split, so one person in a group should pay and settle up later. The official FAQ also says there is no seat charge, no otoshi snack charge and no service charge.
Card and app payments are easy: Visa, Mastercard, JCB, Amex, Diners and Discover are accepted, along with PayPay and Alipay+. Bookings go through Tabelog or by phone on 03-3770-5544. Children are fine in the early hours, but the bar asks families not to visit after 10pm. All seats are non-smoking, and smokers are pointed to the terrace.
Beer Prices and the Happy Hour Window
Tap prices on the current Revimenu listing start from ¥950 for dark beers and ¥980 for lagers and pilsners, rising to a starting price of ¥1,350 for IPAs, sours and ciders. Happy hour from 3pm to 6pm takes ¥300 off pints and waives the usual ¥300 can-opening fee for drinking cans in the bar, and there is ¥600 off for every two cans you buy.
That makes the happy hour the best way to explore the Australian list. Arrive at 3pm on a weekday, order two different pints at the discount, and ask staff which Australian breweries are on that day, since the taps rotate. A pint of IPA at the full ¥1,350 starting price adds up quickly over an evening, so later arrivals should pace themselves or switch to a lager.
The Kitchen: Burgers, Wings and a Lamb Chop
This is beer food rather than British pub classics, built to sit next to a pint. The GBF Burger is the house specialty, with a patty of 100% Australian shorthorn beef, for ¥1,680, and adding fries as a combo is ¥500. A fried chicken burger is ¥1,580. Fish and chips is ¥2,180, jerk chicken ¥1,980, and churrasco sausage with mashed potatoes ¥1,780.
The grilled lamb chop is a special at ¥2,680 and the most substantial plate on the menu. For the table, Buffalo wings are ¥1,380, a pepperoni and pulled pork pizza is ¥1,480 and mac and cheese is ¥980. For dessert, honey cinnamon pizza fritters cost ¥1,100, and the Hokey Pokey New Zealand ice cream at ¥600 is the smaller, cheaper end to the meal.
Who It Is For, and Who Should Skip
The bar pitches itself at both craft beer fans and beginners, and the FAQ talks about after-work groups from Shibuya and visitors from abroad. Tabelog's listing mentions sports viewing, power outlets and free Wi-Fi, which explains why some customers settle in for a whole match. It is a place for comparing beers with friends rather than lingering over a long meal.
Skip it if you want a pie and a pint of bitter in a wood-panelled room; this is not a British-style pub, and the menu is American and Australian bar food. Skip it at lunchtime too, because it opens at 3pm and is closed on Mondays. If the seats are full on a Friday, the bar has standing space for walk-ins, and a can from the fridge is a quick fallback while you wait for a table to clear. If you want to guarantee seats for a group, book through Tabelog a few days ahead.
Between Shibuya and Shinsen
The bar sits on the quiet Shoto side of Shibuya, near Shinsen. From Shibuya Station it is about five minutes from the Keio Inokashira, Tokyu Den-en-toshi and Hanzomon line side, and about seven minutes from the JR Yamanote, Ginza and Fukutoshin side. Shinsen Station on the Keio Inokashira Line is 347 metres away, also about five minutes on foot.
For food before or after, Uobei Shibuya Dogenzaka at 2-29-11 Dogenzaka is a touch-screen conveyor sushi shop about five minutes from Shibuya Station, according to Time Out Tokyo, and it is a cheap, fast stop on the walk back toward the crossing. Shoto itself is one of Shibuya's quieter residential districts, which is why the bar feels calmer than the venues below Dogenzaka.
