NoHo Vinyasa Yoga Studio, $75 for Two Weeks: SKY TING
SKY TING teaches vinyasa-based flow at 324 Lafayette St in NoHo, and new students get two unlimited weeks for $75. Bring a lock, since there are no lockers.
SKY TING teaches its signature vinyasa-based class on the fourth floor of 324 Lafayette Street, between Houston and Bleecker in NoHo, and a first visit costs $39 unless you take the two-week intro at $75. That intro buys 14 days of unlimited classes, which is the sensible way to test whether this vinyasa yoga studio suits you before committing to a $250 monthly membership with a three-month minimum.
From a Chinatown Bodega Name to a Lafayette Street Loft
Krissy Jones founded SKY TING in 2015 in Chinatown with Chloe Kernaghan, and Jones later bought out her co-founders. The name came from a Chinatown bodega called Sky Ting Trading. The studio reads the character ting as a courtyard, so the founders translate the name as sky courtyard or sky room. Earlier studios in Chinatown, Tribeca and Williamsburg are gone. NoHo opened the week of May 3, 2024, and it is now the only physical SKY TING anywhere.
That consolidation matters for planning. Older listings, blog posts and even a stale line in the studio FAQ still mention Chinatown, but every in-person class on the live October 2026 schedule is booked at SKY TING NOHO. If a map pin sends you toward Allen Street or Broadway below Canal, ignore it and head for the Lafayette Street entrance near the Puck Building instead.
What the Signature Class Actually Feels Like
The house class is simply called SKY TING YOGA, a 60-minute session taught at an open level. The studio describes it as a blend whose primary traditions are vinyasa and Katonah Yoga, so expect linked sun salutations and standing sequences mixed with longer, alignment-minded holds borrowed from the Katonah side. Because it is taught at an open level, a first-timer can follow along, while a regular can take the harder variations the teacher offers on each pose.
For a harder flow, Advanced Ting runs on the same schedule and assumes you already know chaturanga, crow and a supported headstand. Yoga Sangraha is a 60 to 75-minute class with deeper breathwork. Katonah x SKY TING is the most alignment-heavy option on the board. The heated Hot Yoga, Hot Pilates and Hot Sculpt slots use infrared panels rather than forced air, and the 50-minute Hot Pilates is a different workout entirely, not a vinyasa class.
Prices, Passes and the Small Fees That Add Up
The posted rate card is short. A drop-in is $39 and stays valid for six months. The two-week intro is $75 for new students only. SKY3 Monthly is $95 a month for three classes, which works out to about $31 each, with a three-month commitment. SKY UNLIMITED is $250 a month or $2,300 a year, and the monthly plan needs 30 days of notice to cancel, a detail one September 2026 reviewer complained about.
Mat rental is $3, charged after your first visit on the intro and on every drop-in, while members get mats and props included. If you will come more than twice, carrying your own mat pays for itself quickly. The building also houses infrared saunas and a contrast suite with a plunge pool, priced at $75 for an hour of sauna and $85 for an hour in the contrast suite, so a post-class soak is possible but not cheap.
Booking, Cancelling and the Locker Question
Book ahead through the website or app. Popular evening flows fill, and a July 2025 visitor counted roughly 40 people in a single class, mats close together. Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours before class starts, or the credit is lost. The studio offers 15 percent off for seniors, health workers, students and teachers, which you request through the front desk rather than at checkout.
Here is the honest caveat. An April 2026 reviewer called the studio a bit pricey and noted there are no lockers, while another guide tells students to bring their own lock. Plan for both possibilities by packing light. Showers exist, but the passes page lists shower access until 12pm as a member perk, so drop-in students heading straight to dinner should arrive dressed to practice.
When to Go: The Weekly Class Grid
For the week of October 26, the first and last in-person class start times run Monday 7:00 am to 7:15 pm, Tuesday 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, Wednesday and Thursday 7:00 am to 7:15 pm, Friday 7:45 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday 8:30 am to 3:30 pm and Sunday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. A few slots on that grid stream on Zoom only, so read the room label before booking.
The grid is front-loaded toward commuters, with 7:00 am starts on four weekdays and the last class landing between 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm. Weekends start later and finish earlier, with nothing after 3:30 pm on Saturday. That makes Sunday the better weekend pick if you sleep in, and it means a Saturday plan should be built around a morning or midday flow rather than a late one.
The Rooms, the Lounge and Who You Will Meet
Inside, the look is deliberately 1970s: carpet, deep couches, incense, glass bricks and glossy black trim, with windows over Lafayette Street. There are two large practice rooms, three single-stall bathrooms, a Hinoki wood bathroom with backlit shoji screens and a fully mirrored spa lounge. Courtney Applebaum is credited with the interior, and candlelit evening classes lean into the mood.
Reviews from 2026 describe a mix of long-time members who followed the brand from Chinatown and newcomers drawn by the intro, and plenty of visitors already know the teachers from SKY TING TV, the $39-a-month streaming service that includes one in-studio pass each month. One September 2026 reviewer said the heated room did not feel hot, so if heat is the point, pick a different class type.
A NoHo Walk Before or After Class
Cha Cha Matcha sits just across Lafayette Street, so a matcha latte before a morning flow takes two minutes. After class, walk south to the red-brick Puck Building at Houston and Lafayette, with its gilded Puck statue above the corner door. Keep going along Houston to the Broadway-Lafayette station, or wander west on Bleecker into the Village for dinner.
Practical Notes
Take the B, D, F or M to Broadway-Lafayette Street or the 6 to Bleecker Street, both exits within a block of the door, and remember the B and M run on weekdays only. Ride the elevator to the fourth floor. Email info@skyting.com with pass questions, since the website lists no phone number. If the evening class you want is full, book the next open slot or stream a SKY TING TV class at home rather than walking over on spec.
