FiDi Gym With Sauna, Steam and a Climbing Wall: CompleteBody
CompleteBody Financial District at 10 Hanover Square has dry and steam saunas, a three-story climbing wall and a free day pass, with plans from $120 a month.
CompleteBody Financial District, at 10 Hanover Square, has expanded dry sauna and steam rooms inside a 30,000-square-foot club, and new visitors can try it with a complimentary day pass. The Passport monthly plan that covers this club is $120, and weekday hours start at 6am. For downtown office workers who want a gym with sauna and steam a few minutes from Wall Street, it is the most complete option south of Chambers Street.

Inside a Former Goldman Sachs Building
The official club page says the space was originally built for Goldman Sachs, which explains the scale. Few downtown gyms have this much room. CompleteBody filled it with a spin studio designed by My Ride, a functional training studio, yoga, Pilates and boxing rooms, and a three-story rock climbing wall that the brand runs under the name CompleteClimb.
The location shapes the rhythm of the day. This is an office district, so expect the floor to be busiest before the working day and at lunch, and expect the building to empty out quickly after 7pm, which is good news if you want the heat rooms to yourself. Residents of the newer apartment towers around Hanover Square and Water Street make up the weekend crowd, when hours are shorter.
The Sauna and Steam Rooms
The club describes its sauna and steam rooms as expanded, and the amenity list names both dry and steam saunas. Having the two side by side lets you choose by mood. Dry heat is better after a heavy lifting session, while steam feels gentler on tight shoulders after a climb or a long day at a desk.
Treat the rooms as quiet zones. Rinse off first, bring a towel to sit on, and limit yourself to about fifteen minutes when people are waiting after 6pm. Alternating five minutes of steam, a cool shower and ten minutes of dry sauna is a simple routine for most people, but drink water before you start.
Climbing, Spinning and Classes
The three-story climbing wall is the headline, and it changes how you can use the club. A climbing session followed by steam is a very different workout from a treadmill run, and it makes this branch stand out among Manhattan gyms with a sauna. Beginners should ask the staff about orientation before they tie in.
CompleteBody's own CBXT high-intensity classes run alongside yoga, Pilates and boxing. The spin studio was designed by My Ride, and the functional training studio has space for sleds and kettlebells. If you only lift and sweat, any good gym would do, but if you want variety in one building, this is where FiDi delivers.
A good first visit pairs one of the free day pass hours with a short climbing orientation and a steam afterwards. If climbing makes your forearms burn, the steam room is the better choice of the two heat rooms, and a cool shower between rounds keeps you from overheating before the walk back out into the street.
Day Pass and Membership Prices
The location page offers a complimentary day pass, which is the simplest way to test the sauna, the steam room and the climbing wall before committing. Use it on a weekday at the time you would normally train, because the club feels very different at 7am and at 2pm.
On the official membership page, the Passport monthly plan is $120 a month and includes access to the Financial District club, along with Chelsea, Midtown East and Grand Central. A twelve-month commitment lowers it to $104 a month, and paying a year in full costs $1,159, about $97 a month. The Passport plan does not cover Union Square, which needs the pricier Premium tier. The same company opened its spa-focused Union Square club in June 2019, and that one is the branch to visit if you want a salt lounge.
Hours and the Best Time to Come
Club hours are 6am to 10pm Monday through Thursday, 6am to 9pm on Friday, 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sunday. The weekend schedule is the weak point for anyone who lives nearby rather than works here. A Sunday sauna needs to start by mid-afternoon if you want a proper session before the doors close.
On weekdays, the window between 2pm and 4:30pm should be the calmest, since the office crowd is at its desks. Plan on company at the start and end of the working day.
Who It Is For
This club suits downtown workers who want a full-service gym with steam, sauna and climbing without the Midtown price. It also works for residents of Battery Park City and the Seaport who can use the free day pass to compare it with a building gym. Skip it if your training is mostly on weekends, because the 4pm Sunday close leaves little room, and swimmers should look at the brand's Midtown East club instead, which has a saltwater pool.
Around Hanover Square
Stone Street, a cobbled pedestrian lane a block away, is lined with pubs and restaurants that set out long tables in good weather, which makes it an easy post-workout meeting point. Fraunces Tavern, where George Washington bid farewell to his officers in 1783, is a few minutes south on Pearl Street and has a small museum upstairs.
For a breath of air after the steam room, walk ten minutes east to the East River Esplanade near the Wall Street ferry pier. The views of the Brooklyn Bridge and the harbor are a good way to bring your heart rate down before heading back to the office.
