Breakfast and lunch are served all day, every day. That is the whole proposition and it is rarer in Los Angeles than it should be — most places doing this quality of cooking run a morning service and stop at two or three.
The consequence is that the useful hours here are the ones nobody else covers. Three in the afternoon on a Tuesday is a calm room with a full menu, which in this part of the Valley is close to a unique offer.
The salads are the reason to come in the afternoon
The kitchen covers the full cafe range — pancakes, eggs benedict, baked goods — but the salads are what make it work as a mid-afternoon meal rather than a late breakfast.

Weekend mornings are the peak by a wide margin — this is a neighbourhood breakfast institution and it fills accordingly from about nine until one.
Weekday mid-morning and mid-afternoon are the quiet windows, and the afternoon one is the whole reason to know about the place.
The 7pm close means it is not a dinner option. Plan around that: this is a breakfast, lunch and awkward-hours restaurant, and it does not pretend otherwise.
