Zip Above the Lions and Tigers at Out of Africa Wildlife Park
Five zip lines and a rope bridge over a Camp Verde wildlife park, with guides naming the animals in the enclosures below.
Predator Zip Lines runs its course inside Out of Africa Wildlife Park in Camp Verde, which the listing puts 20 minutes from Sedona. The route strings five zip lines and a rope bridge between towers above the park's habitats. It finishes on the Racing Raptor, which the listing describes as a 1,200-foot triple zip line.
The zipping itself takes about two hours. Budget two and a half hours, which the operator says covers check-in, orientation and gear training. This listing sells one departure a day, at 11:30 AM, with guiding in English or Spanish. The operator says it tries not to send out more than 12 riders together unless special arrangements are made.

The booking covers your guides, a helmet and the ride out to the course, and local taxes are in the price. Drinks and gratuities are extra, and souvenir photos and a DVD are sold separately. All sales are final, with no refund for a cancellation.

The listing names lions, tigers, bears, zebra, giraffe and rhino among the animals beneath the course. Between runs the guides talk about them from the towers, and riders keep bringing that up: one in 2023 called the guides very willing to share what they knew about the animals they could see from the towers.
Animals are never guaranteed to be in view, and one rider in February 2026 found them a little hard to see. The park is also still recovering from a late-July flash flood that damaged about 60 acres of the property. In an August 4, 2026 release, the park said every animal was safe and unharmed but that much of its free-roaming Serengeti area stayed closed while crews cleared debris and restored fencing. A September 9 park update said the park was open and that some fencing still needed significant reconstruction.
Your Phone Stays on the Ground

The operator bans cell phones, cameras and every other electronic device on the course, along with loose objects. Anything that slips out of a pocket lands in an animal habitat, and the operator says it is gone for good. Leave the phone in the car before check-in, and plan on buying photos to take any home. The crew keeps keys and wallets in locked storage. Several riders mention a staff photographer working the course, though one in September 2025 wrote that the photographer was not there that day.
The operator's dress rules for the harness:
- Sturdy closed-toe shoes or boots; no sandals, flip-flops, slip-ons or Crocs
- Pants, long shorts, leggings or capris; no skirts, and short shorts will bind
- Long hair tied back, glasses on a retainer strap, jewelry left at home
- No food, gum, tobacco or alcohol on the course
Who Can Ride
Riders need to be 8 or older. The operator's tour page says anyone under 15 needs an adult guardian riding along, while its information page draws that line at 11. Plan on an adult going with anyone under 15. In Arizona no one under 18 can sign the waiver, and the accompanying adult signs it.
This listing caps riders at 270 pounds, five under the 275 on the operator's own pages; book against 270. The minimum is 60 pounds. The operator turns away pregnant riders and anyone with recent or repeated neck, back or musculoskeletal injuries, a condition that may need immediate medical help, or impairment from drugs or alcohol. The listing adds that the tour is not recommended for people with poor cardiovascular health.
The listing marks the tour as suitable for all fitness levels. The operator says the course is designed for people with average mobility and strength, and that riders should be in reasonable health. Two riders counted the climb up the first tower at 110 and 120 steps, and one described a short shuttle ride from gear check to that tower.
Rain, Wind and the Calendar
The course runs in the rain. Lightning in the area closes it, as do high winds. For a weather cancellation the operator says you can take another time or a refund, and the listing marks the tour as one that can be called off for bad weather.
The park closes all day on November 3, 2026 for maintenance, and this listing has no slot that day or on December 25. As of October 27, 2026, both the listing and the operator's own booking calendar run through December 31, 2026, with no January 2027 departures posted yet.
📍 Predator Zip Lines is in the Out of Africa Wildlife Park parking lot at 3505 W State Route 260, Camp Verde. Look for the double-wide building in the upper left-hand corner of the lot. It carries the Predator Zip Lines name.
The operator asks riders to arrive 30 minutes before the start. For the 11:30 AM departure, that is 11:00 AM.
Park admission is not part of the zip line ticket, and riders do not need it. A separate park ticket covers the grounds. The park is open 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas, with last admission at 4:00 PM.
Bring any medication you may need on the course, such as an inhaler or an epi-pen. Bring money to tip the guides. Then climb the first tower and look down at the big cats.
