沼津御用邸記念公園

Built in 1893 for the Crown Prince (later Emperor Taisho), the grounds are designated a National Place of Scenic Beauty. The estate features an East Annex study relocated from Akasaka Palace alongside the Sukiya-style Suishotei tea house, framed by black pine groves and expansive gardens. Grounds open directly toward the beach, making the calm trails ideal for casual walking or jogging before stopping at the on-site café or soba restaurant. While some facilities show clear signs of age, the coastal setting remains remarkably tranquil, especially around sunset over Suruga Bay.
