Description
Opened in 2007 at Numazu Port, this marine complex handles daily catches of bonito, mackerel, and horse mackerel landed from Suruga Bay and the Izu coast before they ship nationwide. While commercial trading unfolds across the ground floor, the upper level houses an elevated viewing corridor alongside fish exhibits and casual dining spots. Out on the observation platforms, sightlines extend well beyond the harbor to the Hakone mountains to the north and the massive Byuo water gate to the west.
