A rare surviving 19th-century adobe home in San Antonio, featuring a historic acequia branch and a reconstructed mill.
Description

The two-third-acre parcel was originally part of Mission Concepción lands, granted by the Mexican government in 1824 to Manuel Yturri Castillo. The house itself was constructed between 1840 and 1860, before Castillo's granddaughter, Ernestine E. Edmunds, willed the property to the Conservation Society of San Antonio, which took ownership in December 1961. To the north of the structure, a lateral from the Pajalache acequia spans the grounds—an unusual surviving feature alongside the site's reconstructed historic mill.
