Your Own Van to Lincoln, Jefferson and the Pentagon Memorial
A driver-guide picks your party up at the hotel at 7:00 PM for three hours of memorials, from the Mall to the Pentagon.
The tour's title says small-group, but the listing marks it private and prices it per vehicle: one booking holds up to five travelers. Your own party is the small group, and babies count toward the five. The operator's itinerary starts with pickup at your hotel and ends with the return to it.
ELD Touring Enterprises is a family business founded in 1999. By the operator's account, its owner, Edward Davenport, has more than 35 years of guiding in Washington, and 58 of the 75 reviews posted since 2024 name him as the driver-guide. The listing does not promise a particular person, and one 2026 reviewer titled theirs "Hope you get Eddie!!"

The booking covers the air-conditioned minivan, the driver-guide and the hotel pickup and return. Gratuities are not included. Cancel at least 24 hours before the 7:00 PM start for a full refund.
Washington DC Small-Group Evening City TourPrivate minivan for up to five travelers, hotel pickup at 7:00 PM, six memorial stops, about three hours.www.viator.comDropped at the Steps, Met on the Far Side

The listing names six stops: the Jefferson Memorial for 25 minutes, the Lincoln Memorial for 20, the Korean War Veterans and Vietnam Veterans memorials for 15 each, the Marine Corps War Memorial for 10 and the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial for 20. The operator's own page gives the Pentagon stop 25 minutes.
The driver-guide does not walk the National Mall memorials with you; the operator says parking there is too limited. What reviewers describe is a drop-off close to each memorial, directions to where the van will be on the other side, and the history told in the van between stops, through a headset so the back row can hear. One four-star review names the cost of that format plainly, saying it would have been five stars if the guide had walked every monument with the group.
The Stop Reviewers Remember Is the Pentagon Memorial

The Pentagon Memorial comes up in 59 of 250 published reviews, and no other stop is named in more than six. It sits across the river in Arlington, Virginia, as does the Marine Corps War Memorial, the statue based on Joe Rosenthal's photograph of six Marines raising the flag on Iwo Jima. The Pentagon Memorial's visitor FAQ lists it as open 24 hours a day, and its 184 memorial units, one for each life lost there on September 11, 2001, are arranged by age, from a three-year-old passenger on American Airlines Flight 77 to a 71-year-old Navy veteran on the same flight.
This is also the stop where recent reviewers describe the guide leaving the van and walking the memorial with them. A reviewer in April 2026 named it the family's favorite stop and wrote that he gave them a detailed account of what happened there on September 11.
The Clock Stays at 7:00 PM All Year
This listing sells one departure, 7:00 PM, and the operator says the start time does not move with daylight saving time. How much of the route you see lit depends on the month you book. The operator pitches the tour as watching the monuments light up as you go. Some reviewers mention catching the sunset on the way, and one who went in February wrote that it was cold and some memorials were not well lit.
One reviewer was glad of the air conditioning on a hot night, and another wrote that on a rainy evening the guide handed out umbrellas. The listing also warns that times can shift with local traffic.
Boosters and a Wheelchair on Request, Car Seats From Home
The operator's FAQ says children under 9 are required by law to ride in a booster or car seat, so it supplies boosters for children 3 and older and asks parents of younger children to bring their own infant carrier or car seat. Put the booster or wheelchair request in the special-requirements field when you book.
The operator lists a manual wheelchair as available on request, and four reviews from 2022 and 2024 describe the guide bringing one or helping with a guest's own. The listing asks for at least a moderate level of physical fitness, and the walking at the Mall stops is done on your own.
This listing runs Monday and Wednesday through Saturday. There is no Tuesday or Sunday departure, and the operator does not run on July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day or New Year's Day. Pickup is offered from 278 named hotels across the District, Arlington, Alexandria and Prince George's County in Maryland, and the form also takes another address; the operator asks you to call or email if you are unsure your hotel is in range. Gratuities are extra, and added time is billed at an hourly rate that has to be arranged in advance.
Several reviewers booked it for their first night in town, and that is the night it suits: three hours in which someone else does the driving while you get your bearings among the memorials.
