Your Own Car and Driver From DC to Delaplane's Wineries

A private car and driver out of DC to the wineries you pick, on a six-hour booking where tastings and lunch are yours to pay.

DCAcar runs a chauffeured car service around Washington, and this listing turns one of its vehicles into a six-hour winery day in Northern Virginia. The wineries are your call. The booking page calls the tour completely customizable and its stops a sample: Blue Valley Vineyard first, then Three Fox Vineyards, both in Delaplane, with 868 Estate and Breaux named as another pairing.

The price buys the vehicle and driver for six hours, and the listing says fees are added if the day runs longer. Winery admission and lunch are both listed as not included.

Pricing is per vehicle, so the cost per person drops as the seats fill. The listing offers three sizes: an SUV for up to six passengers, a 14-passenger Sprinter van and a 28-passenger minibus. The booking form stops at 15 travelers per order, so even the minibus books for no more than 15.

You Write the Winery List

The operator's own wine-tour page says what the listing says: choose the wineries, send the itinerary, and it builds the route. A traveler who took this tour in October 2023 wrote that customer service also suggested wineries to consider, and the group ended up picking some of them.

The sample day is a useful yardstick. It spends two hours at Blue Valley and one at Three Fox, so half of the six hours is at the wineries and the other half is everything else. A farther winery, or a third stop, comes out of that same clock.

Where the Six Hours Go

The six hours belong to the car, and the drive comes out of them. Three Fox's own directions from Washington run out Route 66 west to the Delaplane exit, then north on Route 17, which gives a sense of the distance before the first pour.

The same October 2023 traveler wished for a little more time and noted that it's a max of 6 hours. The listing says extra fees apply past six hours but does not publish the rate, so ask for it in the booking's special requirements box if a third stop is tempting.

What You Pay at Each Winery

Tastings are paid at every stop, and the two sample wineries publish their own rules. As of October 19, 2026, Blue Valley's site lists self-guided tastings of five wines at USD 18 for whites and rosés or a mixed flight and USD 23 for reds, each plus tax. It no longer takes cash, and it asks for photo ID with a date of birth before pouring.

Group size changes the rules at both. Three Fox seats parties of eight or fewer first come, first served, and sends nine or more to its events team. Those reservations carry a USD 15 per guest beverage minimum plus a space fee. Blue Valley needs no reservation, though groups over eight can book a sectioned-off area, free Monday to Thursday and otherwise USD 99 an hour plus tax and a 3% card charge, with a two-hour minimum.

The listing's other pairing has its own terms. Breaux's October 2026 wine menu prices its tasting flights at USD 20 and adds a 3% processing fee to every transaction, and the winery asks groups of six or more to contact its tasting room team. 868 Estate requires a reservation for groups of eight or more and charges a no-show fee if a group's plans change less than 48 hours before its reserved time.

Days, Ages and Lunch

The tour runs Wednesday through Sunday. Three Fox opens Thursday to Sunday only, so a Wednesday booking needs a different second stop than the sample day. The listing's other pairing covers that day: 868 Estate opens Wednesday to Sunday from 11 AM, and Breaux opens daily from 11 AM to 6 PM. Blue Valley opens seven days a week: 11 AM to 5 PM Monday to Thursday, to 7:30 PM Friday and Saturday, and to 6 PM on Sunday.

Some bookable dates fall on winery closures. Thanksgiving on November 26, 2026, Christmas Day 2026 and New Year's Day 2027 can all be booked, yet Blue Valley and Breaux both list those three days as closed. Three Fox's own calendar has it closing at 4 PM on Friday, December 4 and Saturday, December 12, 2026 for private events.

Children can ride along, and all four wineries named in the listing welcome them; Blue Valley asks that they stay with an adult. Nobody under 21 tastes: Blue Valley's FAQ says no one under 21 may buy or drink alcohol on the property. Lunch is up to you. Blue Valley allows outside food and sells cheese, salami and bread, while Three Fox sells packaged snacks, has food trucks most Saturdays and Sundays, and welcomes picnics. None of the four allows outside alcohol.

Enter the exact pickup address at checkout. Cancelling at least 24 hours ahead brings a full refund; inside 24 hours there is none. If Blue Valley makes the list, its Sunset Terrace has panoramic views of the Blue Ridge.
