Your New York Stop List, and a Driver Who Waits
A private driver takes your group to the New York stops you pick, waits while you look around, and moves on when you are ready.
This is a private car tour of New York with no fixed route. Your group books a block of time, brings a list of places, and the vehicle carries only your party between them. The listing says there are no predetermined stops, and the driver will suggest a plan for groups who arrive without one.
The listing suggests about ten minutes at each stop to keep the booked hours on track.
Reviewers describe being let out in front of each sight and collected again, a detour to a Lego store for restless kids, and a coffee shop in Harlem the driver took them to.

As of October 28, 2026, the listing prices each option for the whole group: USD 625 for four hours, USD 825 for six and USD 1,150 for eight. Four- and six-hour blocks can start on the hour from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and eight-hour blocks from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, any day of the week. The operator confirms each booking by hand, and every sale is final.
Personalize Sightseeing TourA private driver takes your group to the stops you choose for 4, 6 or 8 hours, starting with a hotel pickup or outside 48 Wall Street.www.viator.comA Starter List From the Operator

The operator's own destinations page sorts ideas into three groups. Downtown covers the Statue of Liberty, Chinatown, the World Trade Center and 9/11 Memorial, the Charging Bull, the Brooklyn Bridge and the Washington Square Arch. Midtown brings the Empire State Building, Madison Square Garden, Times Square and Grand Central Terminal, and a third group lists Columbus Circle, Rockefeller Center, Central Park and Yankee Stadium.
Nothing on the inclusions list covers entry tickets, and that includes the ferry out to the Statue of Liberty. One 2022 group wrote about enjoying Battery Park and being able to see the statue. At the Brooklyn Bridge, the operator offers a walk across or a ride over.
Dropped at the Door, Collected Afterward

Reviewers keep describing the same rhythm. The driver lets the group out in front of a sight, finds parking nearby, and is back at the curb when they finish. One 2025 guest wrote that the car was already waiting when the group came out.
Time at each stop is yours to set, and the booked hours keep running while you are inside. Long visits, like going up the Empire State Building or walking the Brooklyn Bridge, eat into a four-hour block fast. The listing does not say whether extra time can be added. On its own site, the operator says extra time past the booked block costs a hundred dollars an hour.
How Much Commentary to Expect
The listing names an English-speaking guide, and many reviewers call their driver a guide too. The operator describes the trip differently. In a public reply to a 2024 review, it wrote that this is a personalized tour and that it does not provide a tour guide at any stop to explain history, beyond what the driver knows. Two 2024 reviewers made the same point in their own words: this is not a guided tour.
Treat the commentary as a bonus that depends on who drives that day. One 2024 reviewer wrote that the guide did not always tell them enough about the history of the places they saw, while many others praise drivers for recommendations, patience with large families and flexibility when plans changed mid-ride. Gratuities are not included.
Group Size, Vehicle and Access
The listing says the cabin holds up to fourteen passengers, and the six- and eight-hour options cap bookings at fourteen. The four-hour option's booking form goes up to fifteen, one more than that stated capacity.
On its own site, the operator lists a Cadillac Escalade for up to six and a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter for up to fourteen, and the listing does not say which one a given group gets. Reviews mention both.
The listing marks the trip as suitable for all physical fitness levels and says service animals are allowed. The operator's own site says nothing about access. One 2024 family brought an elderly mother with a walker and wrote that the driver helped her in and out of the van. Another 2024 reviewer warned that it is a big step up into the van, and that group seated their mother up front, which was easier than climbing into the back. A third 2024 group wrote that a small folding stool used for climbing out gave way on uneven ground, and a family member fell onto the sidewalk.
Flag a wheelchair or a child seat in the special requirements box at checkout. The listing promises neither, and every sale is final.
📍 The listing offers hotel pickup from a list of hotels, takes a custom pickup address, or has the group meet outside 48 Wall Street, the same address on the operator's contact page. Pickups can come up to ten minutes before the booked start time.
All sales are final with no refund for cancellations, and the listing flags bad weather as a reason the operator can call a trip off. Book the hours your list needs, take the coffee stop the driver suggests, and let the city slide past the window between sights.
