You Drive Behind the Guide Into Gettysburg's Off-Map Night

Three hours of hands-on investigation across more than one Gettysburg location, from an operator that says it debunks first.

Follow the guide into Gettysburg's night.

There is no office. The meeting point is a back parking lot on Steinwehr Avenue, and the instruction is to arrive ten minutes before the start time so the guide can check names and head count against each booking before anyone moves.

What happens after that is a convoy. The evening runs three fixed hours and covers more than one location, and your own car is what gets you between them. Private transportation is not part of the ticket.

Confirmation is instant. Bookings for a given night close at 6:30 PM, and the ticket covers the whole booking, issued as mobile or paper.

Evening Investigation - Small Group GettysburgThree fixed hours across two or three Gettysburg locations, with spirit boxes, EMF meters and the rest of the operator's kit included.www.viator.com

What You Are Handed, and Who Uses It

The kit is included. The listing names spirit boxes and EMF meters and describes the rest as a large variety, and the operator's own FAQ says the equipment is supplied for the night and that guests are shown how it works before they use it.

Your own gear is welcome too. The operator says so directly, which fits how the listing describes the guides: there to support, from minimal guidance up to a full investigation partnership, depending on what each group wants.

Pack a flashlight and bug spray. The operator recommends both, and neither appears in what the ticket includes.

The Stops the Map Will Not Give You

The parking lot is also the first place investigated. The other two are not on a standard map, and the guide leads the way to both. The listing describes them as another haunted bridge and a wooded area, and marks the wooded area as available only some of the time.

Each location has sub-areas, which is where three hours go on what reads like a short list. This is a shared departure with a ceiling of twenty travellers on the night, while any single booking holds up to ten.

Who the Night Is Built For

The booking form's youngest age band starts at nine, and an adult has to be on the booking. The operator's own FAQ is broader, saying it takes groups of all ages including scout troops and leaving the call to the parent, while adding that babies are not recommended. The age band on the booking form is the one you meet at checkout.

Service dogs are always welcome. Other dogs are handled case by case, which the operator puts down to allergies and distractions.

All three hours are outdoors. Dress for the night you are actually getting.

Weather, Head Count, and the Refund Line

Cancelling at least twenty-four hours before the departure time returns the full amount. Inside that window the listing returns nothing.

The operator can also call off a departure. The listing flags two reasons it may do that: bad weather, and too few travellers booked for the night.

📍 571 Steinwehr Ave, Gettysburg, PA 17325. The meeting spot is the back parking lot behind the Gettysburg Battle Theater, the building that used to be General Pickett's Buffet. Nobody is waiting inside, so arrive early and look for the guide in the lot.

The operator emails the meeting details once the booking goes through.

Three hours later the convoy ends where it started, back in the same lot beside your own car.
