Yasuaki Shimizu + Merma Suelo

Saxophonist, composer, and producer Yasuaki Shimizu brings nearly five decades of genre-spanning work to the stage in a new live programme. Performing alongside his sister Mieko as a duo, he presents fresh arrangements spanning different phases of his extensive repertoire. They share the bill with Mexican sound artist and poet Merma Suelo, who works across distinct sonic layers to engage with and break apart pressing loops.
