Along Ralph Avenue, this eatery has an old-school style. The menu features baked chicken, yams, and a Caribbean macaroni pie style of mac and cheese. While the seasoned collard greens and crispy shrimp are hits, other sides are inconsistent: the cornbread can be dry and the banana pudding has drawn poor reviews. The oxtail comes at a premium price, but plates are defined by generous, piled-high portions.
