Description

Having provided public fishing access and lakeside views for half a century, the site is designed to pair native habitat restoration with purposeful recreation. Beyond its prairie and wetlands, the landscape includes Southeastern Great Plains Forest. Guided by input from roughly 1,000 local residents, planned additions include concrete and gravel trails, a fishing pier, a pollinator garden, and play areas that let visitors engage directly with the varied ecosystems.
