Wrigley to Hyde Park With Your Own Guide and Driver

A private, chauffeured tour of Chicago with a separate guide, built around the stops your group asks for.

Two people come to your downtown hotel: a driver who handles the traffic and a guide who handles the stories. The listing sells it as a three to four hour private city tour, with stops where you step out and walk with the guide. The price covers the whole vehicle and up to five passengers; a group of five pays the same as a couple.

The commentary covers history, architecture and culture, and the operator says it shapes each tour around the interests of the group that books it.

As of October 16, 2026, that vehicle price was USD 539 on the listing, with departures at 10:00 AM and 2:40 PM. Gratuities for the driver and guide are not included.

The Stops on the Listing, and the Time Between Them

The listing's itinerary gives about 45 minutes to the Loop downtown, 15 to Lincoln Park and the North Side neighborhoods, 30 to the University of Chicago campus in Hyde Park and 15 to Wrigley Field, plus a 20-minute walk-through with the guide. Its description adds Millennium Park, the Lincoln Park Conservatory and Museum Campus, and says the stops are not limited to these.

The operator's own page for the tour lists the Magnificent Mile, the Gold Coast, Navy Pier, Obama's home and the public art and skyscrapers of the Loop, with photo and walking stops built in. The listed stops add up to about two hours of a three to four hour tour, and a family who took it in 2024 wrote that most of the tour is spent inside the van.

Your List Sets the Route, Traffic Sets the Pace

The booking form has a field for special requirements, and travelers describe the changes they asked for. One family in 2024 skipped Wrigley Field and ended at the Willis Tower. A 2019 group asked to see Michelle Obama's former house on the South Side and was driven there. Others fit lunch into the route, from a Portillo's hot dog stop to food the guide ordered and picked up.

A 2019 visitor wrote that nobody asked what they wanted to see, and a 2013 visitor lost sights to traffic and advised getting a detailed schedule up front; send your list when you book. Chicago traffic is part of the trip. Visitors have written about heavy traffic around Lollapalooza and on Memorial Day weekend.

Walkers, Canes, Wheelchairs and Babies

This is mostly a ride. Visitors who used a walker or a cane describe the driver and guide helping them in and out of the vehicle, and one group brought an 85-year-old mother who could not walk long distances and called it the best way to see the city.

The listing ticks boxes for wheelchair access, while a 2014 visitor wrote that the van was not wheelchair accessible, and the operator's own site says nothing about lifts or ramps. In a reply to a 2014 review, the operator said that once it learned a guest used a wheelchair, it went over the vehicle choice with the group; put any wheelchair in the special requirements field when you book. The listing's infant checkboxes disagree, one offering infant seats and one saying infants ride on a lap, so mention a baby there too.

Pickup Area, Drop-Off and the 24-Hour Line

The booking covers private transportation, the guide and driver, and pickup at your downtown hotel. The pickup area runs from Division Street in the north to I-55 in the south, east of I-90/94, and the tour ends with a drop-off at the downtown address you choose.

Cancel at least 24 hours before departure for a full refund; inside 24 hours, the booking is not refundable. The listing offers no weather cancellation, and visitors have taken the tour on rainy days, in January and the day after a blizzard warning.

The drop-off can be wherever you want the rest of the day to start. One 2022 visitor asked to be left at the Willis Tower and found the next Skydeck tickets were hours away; for that plan, buy them online while the tour is still rolling.
