Description

Operating since 1960, the space serves as an artistic and social anchor for UC Berkeley's Department of Art Practice, named after painter and founding chair Worth Ryder. It gives undergraduate and graduate students a platform for exhibiting in a professional gallery context alongside challenging contemporary work. Just around the corner in the Anthropology and Art Building lobby, its ancillary space, VIDRINE, is dedicated to video, digital art, and installation.
