Originally a 1913 department store, this downtown Nashville landmark gained national prominence during the 1960 student-led lunch counter sit-ins that helped shape the Civil Rights Movement. Today, the three-floor building blends its original architecture with modern live entertainment. An upstairs hideaway theater stages performances mixing comedy, music, and circus trapeze, while the downstairs vintage jazz club operates as a speakeasy-style supper club with craft cocktails and live jazz.
