Description

Once a retreat for affluent colonial households, the National Historic Landmark housed both Patriots and British Loyalists during the American Revolutionary War. Today, operated by The Naomi Wood Trust, the restored rooms display an extensive collection of period antiques. Guided tours walk visitors through early American domestic life while detailing the intertwined histories of the resident families alongside the enslaved Africans and indentured servants who lived and worked here.
