Description
Winnie’s Jazz Club sits inside the Refinery Hotel, its name a tribute to Winifred T. McDonald’s 1920s Garment District café and tea salon. The space leans into that Art Deco heritage while feeling decisively contemporary: live jazz plays a few feet from your table, and the room splits between high-energy perches near the stage and private banquettes under warm, moody lighting. The live jazz was top notch, just a few feet from your table, and the drinks side earns its own praise — the Paper Plane comes recommended, alongside a solid wine selection. Bar bites hold up too, with the tartare, cheese plate, and truffle fries all getting shout-outs. Service manages the trick of being attentive without interrupting the show.
