Description

Developed by Willow Fork Drainage District in collaboration with Katy ISD, the grounds provide neighborhood recreation alongside dedicated habitat spaces. Paved paths link boardwalks and a pedestrian bridge across bio swales, leading past a playground, a disc golf course, and a pavilion equipped with picnic tables and grills. Educational signs accompany more than 15 tree species mapped across the property, while a live bird cam shares real-time bird activity. The butterfly garden adds six native prairie grasses and dozens of flowering species, supplying milkweeds, nectar, and shelter for migrating monarchs.
