William S. Hart Park
4.7 (269)park
A silent film cowboy’s hilltop ranch, home to a 1920s mansion, Western art, walking trails, and a resident bison herd.
Description

Spanning over 200 acres in Newhall, this former working ranch unfolds across gardens, picnic grounds, and trails passing a second house on the mountain. While the bison herd gets much of the attention, the grounds also shelter emus, tortoises, and pigs. Visitors can join staff-led tours of Hart Hall to view the actor's preserved rooms and cowboy memorabilia up close. With diverse animal viewing, open paths, and plenty of space to explore, it provides an easy, low-key outing for families with kids.
