Description

Once the site of a turn-of-the-century logging town, the grounds now balance forest and wildlife habitat protection with active community recreation. Across the park's 3.5 miles of trails sits a botanical garden of native Northwest plants used for educational demonstrations, bordered by ballfields, tennis and basketball courts, and a play area. For longer treks, the path links onward to Kelsey Creek Park to the east and Downtown Park and Mercer Slough Nature Park to the west.
