Denver’s only African espresso bar brews beans from across the continent and hosts a weekly Sunday coffee ceremony.

Description

Known locally as "the activists' coffee shop", this independent space in Denver's historic Whittier neighborhood supports social justice causes and maintains a dedicated justice fund.

The weekly Sunday gathering highlights an East African tradition, featuring roasting and brewing in a clay pot jebena. Beyond coffee, the bar pours African beers alongside South African and Tigrayan honeywine, accompanied by a counter lineup of burritos, paninis, pastries, and light bites.
