Description

Two ponds anchor the 26-acre grounds, ringed by a black cottonwood forest restored with thousands of native plants and summer wildflowers that draw local pollinators. A half-mile loop trail skirts the water, leading past an eco-roof gazebo and plants native to the Northwest. On the west pond, a sloping ramp descends to an observation dock positioned for spotting frogs, fish, and water bugs. Further north, a second dock provides paddling access to the 19-mile Columbia Slough via Whitaker Slough.
