Description
The City acquired the property at 44th Ave NE in 2011 with grant funds to convert it into a public park. The site was selected because its earlier structures were in Lyon Creek's floodplain and regularly flooded, matching a park location identified in the City's 100-Year Legacy Plan. Bordering the creek, the land also provided an opportunity to restore the riparian area to improve water quality and habitat.
