This vibrant stretch of 19th-century architecture trades its former life as bourbon warehouses for modern bars and eateries.
Description

Spanning the 100 block of W. Main Street and extending north to Washington Street, this one block-long entertainment district preserves a collection of buildings constructed between 1852 and 1905. The area is defined by its Revivalist and Chicago School architecture, featuring ornate cast-iron storefronts that once served as the primary offices and warehouses for the city’s bourbon and tobacco industries. Today, these historic structures have been repurposed into a dense cluster of restaurants, bars, and hotels, serving as a visual centerpiece for those touring the bourbon trail. While the district functions as a historical and architectural exhibition, its current identity is tied closely to the spirits industry.
