Where Young Elvis Ate, Shopped and Sang, Before Graceland

A private car and guide cover the Memphis Elvis knew as a teenager, then leave you at Graceland with tickets in hand.

Rock 'n' Roll Tours splits this day in two. The morning is a private car tour of 2.5 to 3 hours for your group alone, up to four guests, through the streets, diner, clothier and stage that shaped Elvis before he was famous. The afternoon is Graceland, on the Elvis Experience tickets the booking includes. Inside Graceland you explore on your own, alongside every other guest holding the same ticket. The listing puts the whole day at six to seven hours.

The booking covers the car, the guide and the Graceland tickets. Food, drinks and tips are not included, and a ride back downtown by Uber or Lyft is arranged for you at the end.

The Streets Elvis Knew Before Anyone Knew Him

The car meets you under the Orpheum Theatre's marquee on Main Street, a stretch where, the listing says, the teenage Elvis spent countless hours. The route takes in Beale Street and the historic Lansky Bros. location; the shop still trades in Memphis and still calls itself Clothier to the King. The listing also stops at the Arcade Restaurant, whose own history page says that at one time even Elvis was a regular. It also points to where he got his haircuts, the radio station that first played That's All Right, his high school years and his early Memphis homes. The Overton Park Shell says it saw a young Elvis Presley's debut there in 1954, opening for Slim Whitman. By the operator's own account no two tours run the same, so the order can bend to what your group asks for.

Graceland in the Afternoon, at Your Own Pace

Graceland's own ticket page lists the Elvis Experience tier as a self-guided mansion tour plus access to the Elvis Presley's Memphis entertainment complex and Elvis's custom jets. The expert-guided mansion tours sit in Graceland's VIP tiers, so they are not part of this booking. One traveler in 2026 wished the guide had come through Graceland too. The visit carries a scheduled mansion entry time, and the listing suggests allowing about four hours. Graceland posts daily hours of 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the last mansion tour starting at 4:00 PM and the jets opening at 10:00 AM. A 2025 traveler's tip was to spend any wait before the mansion slot in the museums.

Group Size Sets the Price, Graceland Sets the Calendar

The price is per person and falls as the car fills. As of October 14, 2026, the booking calendar listed about USD 725 to 750 for one traveler, USD 480 to 495 each for two, USD 412 to 425 each for three and USD 368 to 375 each for four, with Tuesdays and Fridays at the lower figure. Every traveler from age 1 up books at that same rate. Departures are 9:00 AM on Tuesdays and Fridays and 9:30 AM on the other open days through January 2027; from February 2027 the calendar so far lists Tuesdays and Fridays only. Graceland says it is open daily except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, and its posted hours cut Christmas Eve to 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. As of October 14, 2026, the calendar already blocks Thanksgiving but still sells December 24 and December 25, so pick another date.

One Founder, One Car and Sometimes a Guitar

By the operator's own account, Rock 'n' Roll Tours was founded by Brandon Cunning, drawing on his time as a Beale Street entertainer and radio DJ, and in 2025 it described itself as powered by one person, a working musician. Its car is a 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe that seats up to four guests. Most traveler reviews of this listing from 2023 to 2026 name him as the guide, and several describe him playing guitar and singing Elvis songs, two of them at the Overton Park Shell. The listing itself names no guide and promises no song, so treat both as what travelers have reported.

📍 Meet under the Orpheum Theatre's marquee at 203 South Main Street, or pick one of the downtown hotels on the listing's pickup list when you book. The listing gives a full refund for cancellations made at least 24 hours before departure, and it can cancel for bad weather; the operator says it runs rain or shine unless conditions turn unsafe. The listing marks the day suitable for all fitness levels, and the operator's pages say nothing about mobility, so note any needs for the car in the booking's special-requirements field. Graceland is specific about its half. Its mansion tour is wheelchair accessible except for two basement rooms reached by stairs; guests who cannot take the stairs follow an alternate route and see those rooms in photos and on a TV monitor. Elvis's jets are not wheelchair accessible. Graceland recommends bringing your own wheelchair, keeps only a few for the mansion on a first-come basis, and does not allow strollers inside the mansion. Then the day closes on Elvis Presley Boulevard, with a ride back downtown arranged before your guide drives off.
