The Cubby Bear is a two-level bar and live music venue on the southwest corner of Clark and Addison, directly across from Wrigley Field's red marquee in Wrigleyville. Bands play the ground-floor stage most nights, while the upstairs room opens for larger shows and private parties.
Before and after Cubs home games the bar fills with fans, and screens around the room carry the action for anyone without a ticket. The menu runs to buffalo wings and cold drafts ordered at a long wooden bar that stretches across the front room.
Sightlines from the second floor look down Addison toward the ballpark gates, which makes the space a staging point on game days and a concert room the rest of the week.
