Where Pittsburgh's Rivers Meet, on a Boat Just for You
Two hours on a 34-foot cruiser out of Station Square, with downtown Pittsburgh's skyline and stadiums seen from the water.
Rush Hour Boat Charters takes out one party at a time. Up to six people share the boat, and nobody outside your group comes aboard. It leaves the marina at Station Square on the Monongahela, heads for the Point where the rivers meet, and brings you back to the same dock.
One price covers the whole boat, whether two of you come or six. Every review on the listing so far gives five stars.

The cruise is a limited, seasonal experience: the operator sails May through October. Prices are per boat, from USD 385 for Monday through Thursday departures up to USD 469 for select Saturday slots. Start times on the schedule run from 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM. Booking confirms instantly.

The longest pause on the route is about 10 minutes off Point State Park, where the Allegheny and the Monongahela meet to form the Ohio. From there the listing points out the downtown skyline, the U.S. Steel Tower, Acrisure Stadium, PNC Park, the Three Sisters bridges and the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. It calls this stretch a great picture opportunity.
The boat can also stop for about five minutes by Acrisure Stadium, home of the Steelers, and five more at PNC Park. When a game is on, the listing says you can stop on the Allegheny and watch it on the ballpark's big screen. The boat also passes the Monongahela Incline.
Daylight, Sunset or City Lights

Start time changes the trip more than the route does. The listing pitches day cruises for sunshine on the deck and night cruises for "the glitter of the city lights on the waters," with sunset runs in between.
Food and drinks are BYOB. The operator allows alcohol for guests 21 and over. Several reviewers came for an occasion: a 29th wedding anniversary, a birthday and a date night with reggae music at sunset. Two travelers in June 2026 cruised before a Pirates game with a bottle of wine on board.
The Captain Does the Talking
Most reviews name the same captain, Bob, and they praise the commentary as much as the views. A traveler in October 2025 had "lived in the Greater Pittsburgh area all of our lives" and still "learned so much." Another, in July 2025, called the captain "very interactive" with "detailed historic information about the city."
Narration is a choice. The listing also offers a relaxed ride, or an upbeat one with your own music over the boat's Bluetooth. A July 2026 review names a different captain, Ryan.
Before You Book
- The cruise lasts about two hours and ends at the dock where it started.
- No more than six people can come aboard, babies included. The operator says age and size don't matter.
- There is a restroom on board.
- The operator sails rain or shine and has a full enclosure for wet weather. Only severe weather calls a trip off, and that is the captain's call. A July 2026 traveler went out in the rain and says the captain made sure they had a dry spot. A group of six in August 2025 suggests packing towels in case of rain.
- Station Square is a stop on the Red and Blue light rail lines of Pittsburgh Regional Transit.
- The listing asks for at least a moderate level of physical fitness and says service animals are allowed. The operator's own site mentions neither.
- For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure.
📍 Board at Station Square Landing Marina, 238 West Station Square Drive. The operator asks you to arrive 15 minutes before departure and says time lost to a late arrival comes out of your cruise. Walk behind Texas de Brazil to the elevator entrance under a green awning, just before the water fountain. Ride up, cross the bridge over the railroad tracks, then take the elevator down to the marina. The listing asks you to text the operator when you arrive. The operator's site asks you to include your party name, then go right toward the ice machine and wait at the picnic table until a crew member comes for you. If you drive, the operator's directions start from the parking garage by the Sheraton at 301 West Station Square Drive.
"Seeing the city at night from the rivers was a whole different experience," a traveler wrote in September 2026.
