Description

A prominent feature within the 10.1-acre grounds is Battery Bailey, a person-made hill constructed during the Civil War to support cannons aimed at protecting the reservoir of water for nearby Washington. Acquired by M-NCPPC in 1951, the park balances this history with everyday recreation, providing a softball field, multiuse field, basketball court, and two tennis courts, alongside a picnic area.
